2007 City Christmas Ornament For Sale At The Columbia Regional Visitors Center

COLUMBIA, SC – December 13, 200 – The Columbia Regional Visitors Center (CRVC) is selling the  2007 “Official City Ornament” presented by the Babcock Center Foundation.  The cost of the Christmas ornament is $12.50.  All proceeds from the sale of the ornaments will go to the Babcock Center. 

The CRVC is open from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sundays.  The Columbia Regional Visitors Center is located at 1101 Lincoln Street Columbia, SC (Inside the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center).  For more information contact the CRVC at 803-545-0002.

This year’s ornament is in recognition of Fort Jackson and depicts a statue of Major General Andrew Jackson, the fort’s namesake, a native son of the Palmetto State and the seventh president of the United States. “Fort Jackson” is the fifteenth in a Collector’s Series of holiday ornaments, all featuring historic sites and points of interest in Columbia, the Capital of South Carolina.  Previous ornaments in the series are still available (tough numbers are limited).
