2012 “Shine the Light on Your Nonprofit” Series Begins with Exclusive Session for Executive Directors and Board Chairs

Seminar to Address the Fundamentals of Fundraising for Nonprofits
 
GREENVILLE, SC – May 21, 2012 – DNA Creative Communications (DNA), in collaboration with the Community Foundation of Greenville, the Hollingsworth Funds, Inc, and United Way of Greenville County, is kicking off its 2012 “Shine the Light on Your Nonprofit” educational series with its first session “Leadership Synergy: Fundraising Fundamentals for Success” on June 13th.
 
The half day interactive workshop is designed exclusively for Board Chairs and Executive Directors and will focus on key functions of board leadership that fuel nonprofit success. Some of the topics that will be covered include defining fundraising goals, establishing lasting relationships with donors, and donor recognition. The session will address the need for successful fundraising tools given the challenges that nonprofits face in the current economic situation, and will provide Board Chairs and Executive Directors with effective skills that they can apply to their organizations’ fundraising campaigns.

The seminar will feature a special presentation by Carl Beard, an experienced fundraising professional   from CCBeard & Associates, whose consulting practice has provided opportunities to serve a rich diversity of clients, from Clemson University to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in Williamsburg, VA, and whose capital campaigns have ranged from $6 million to $500 million.
