2016 Citizenship Award Goes to Mining Association of South Carolina’s (MASC) Neal Barber

MASC announced Neal Barber as the 2016 Citizenship Award Recipient. This award is given annually to individuals whose active participation in a wide range of activities have strengthened the community and the image of the mining industry in the community.

Neal is married to the delightful Mrs. Cindy Barber and has two amazing children Jessica and Mathew Barber. A graduate of Midland’s Technical College in Civil Engineering Technology, Neal has a wide range of community accomplishments. Barber has a number of Boy Scout Awards ranging from 1968-2014. Neal is also very active in his community where he has served as President of his Neighborhood Association since 2013 and President of the Rock Hill Council of Neighborhoods. Barber also serves at Grace Lutheran Church on Church Council, Property, Youth and Campus Ministry Committees.

Barber’s Professional involvement speaks volumes. Neal has been SC Quality Manager with Hanson Aggregates for the last 14 years, he has 20 plus year’s experience in the concrete design, precast and ready mixed industry as a Structural Designer, Technical Services and Quality Manager. As a member of MASC’s Aggregate Committee, Barber has served as Chairman since 2009.
