2021 State of the City of Columbia Address

Two weeks ago Mayor Steve Benjamin stood in the beautiful and historic Columbia City Council chambers to formally announce that he will not seek re-election as Mayor of Columbia. On Tuesday evening, February 16, he delivered his final State of the City address.

The address fulfilled the purpose of letting our citizens know how our City stands at this moment in history, especially following a year that brought so many unforeseen and historic level challenges.

This address also afforded Mayor Benjamin the chance to reflect on his time in office.
