June 2, 2021

Register today for Foreign Language classes at Upstate International. We are excited to offer classes in the following languages: American Sign Language, English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish, and new this summer Farsi and Gaelic. Experience diverse cultures, make connections, improve your resume, and discover the world without ever leaving the upstate! Classes begin the week of June 7 and end by August 6.

This summer, Upstate International is offering a hybrid schedule with some classes being taught in person and many others being taught online. Summer regular classes are $90, meeting once a week for 8 weeks; each class is 75 minutes and will be conducted at the UI Center or online. Summer intensive classes are $265, meeting twice a week for 8 weeks; each class is 90 minutes and will be conducted at the UI Center or online.

Students must be members of Upstate International. Membership is $50 per individual for a yearly membership which would cover multiple semesters of language learning.

Take advantage of language learning this summer with class fees at just about $9.00-$11.00 per hour. Upstate International, a nonprofit, strives to keep the cost low so as to allow as manny upstate residents as possible the opportunity to learn a new language or brush up on one they used to know. Class sizes are small, roughly 3 to 10 students, to enhance the learning experience. Most classes are taught by native speakers eager to share their language and culture and dedicated to helping each student succeed.
