2022 law clerks join Collins & Lacy

Collins & Lacy, P.C. announced the hiring of three law school clerks for the summer.

Caitlin Costner

Originally from Anderson, SC, Caitlin Costner is a rising 2L at the University of South Carolina School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in political science and Spanish from the University of South Carolina Honors College. She has previously interned with the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee, the United States House of Representatives, and Judge Karen Ballenger of the Tenth Judicial Circuit. She is currently the vice-president of Women in Law and the project leader of the Assembly Street Tunnel renovation project.

Tiffany Scott

Tiffany Scott is a rising 3L student at the University of South Carolina School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from Georgia State University in 2018. After graduation, Tiffany worked as a paralegal in bankruptcy, foreclosure, and civil litigation. She currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business and is an active member of the Mock Trial Bar. Last summer, she worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Michelle J. Childs, in addition to working as a research assistant in the Dean’s Suite and to Professor Elizabeth Chambliss. During the school year, Tiffany works as a law clerk at the South Carolina House of Representatives on the Judiciary Committee where she analyzes legislation and drafts bill summaries for the chairman.

Justin Lawlor

Justin Lawlor is an Eagle Scout who studied mechanical engineering at the University of South Carolina. After graduating, he worked on various construction projects in the Charleston area. Now at the University of South Carolina School of Law as a rising 3L, Justin enjoys participating in community service activities as the class representative of the James L. Petigru Public Interest Law Society. Justin is particularly interested in construction litigation and says he is excited to experience the defense side of the business while working with the experienced attorneys at Collins & Lacy.
