The background for the event will be the military memorial at North Charleston’s Riverfront Park. The ceremony will run from11:00am – 11:30am.  The military memorial is a beautiful setting on the Cooper River, right on the old Navy Base.

Joint Base Charleston, Palmetto Warrior Connection and the Palmetto Military Support Group will distribute the tickets (valued at $10,000). Media is invited to cover this uplifting event at Riverfront Park (1001 Everglades Avenue, North Charleston, 29405.)

The 2016 Chili Cook-off & Oyster Roast is scheduled for November 19th at Riverfront Park in North Charleston (1pm – 5pm) and has more than 100 teams participating.  It will include all of the chili and oysters you can eat, pet adoptions, live entertainment, a kid’s zone, cornhole, bubble soccer and other games.  All money raised goes to Toby’s Fund, which is Charleston Animal Society’s Medical Fund, that spends more than $500,000 every year saving animals hit by cars, or suffering from heartworm and other medical conditions.
