5 Points Social to celebrate grand opening in Columbia

5 Points Social, a new sports bar and entertainment venue in Columbia’s Five Points district, will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, Aug. 13.

Located at 632 Harden St., the Gamecock-owned and operated business bills itself as a destination for food, drinks, sports, music and nightlife.

Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, 5 Points Social owner Ryan Ferguson and representatives from the City of Columbia’s Office of Economic Development will participate in the 11 a.m. ceremony and offer remarks.

Following the ribbon cutting, 5 Points Social will officially open its doors to the public.
