The 9/11 Remembrance Foundation of South Carolina announced a new initiative with Flight Deck Restaurant in Lexington. The initiative is designed to offer Flight Deck patrons the opportunity to support veterans, military service members, first responders and their families.

“I have tremendous respect for those who serve our communities and country,” remarked Ted Stambolitis, Owner/Operator of the Flight Deck. “I am very passionate about helping the homeless veterans and wanted to give back. Working with the 9/11 Remembrance Foundation, we are able to support this cause and involve our patrons.”

Beginning Tuesday, May 24 th , Patrons of the Flight Deck can add a $1, $2, or $3 donation to the Foundation on their restaurant check and the Flight Deck will match the donations every Tuesday. All of the funds donated will go towards the 9/11 Remembrance Foundation Programs, which will support the needs of homeless veterans and local first responders.

“We are extremely pleased to join this partnership with Flight Deck for the benefit of our local heroes who have given so much,” remarked Dan Hennigan, Founder and Chair of 9/11 Remembrance Foundation of South Carolina. “Creating the awareness of critical needs for those who serve and have served, and inviting others to share in the support goes a long way to helping us accomplish our goal.”

The Flight Deck Restaurant located at 109 Old Chapin Road Lexington, SC is an established family restaurant and is supportive of the local community. The round up program may encourage others to follow their lead and develop a similar program of support.
