Oldies 103.1 FM and KISS 98.5 FM Are Switching Places

March 28, 2008

COLUMBIA, SC – March 28, 2008 – It’s happening April Fools’ Day, but it’s no joke. Oldies 103.1 FM and KISS 98.5 FM, are switching places on the radio dial. On Tuesday, April 1, Oldies 103.1 will become Magic 98.5, and KISS 98.5 will become KISS 103.1.

The move is intended to offer a stronger signal to each station’s core listening audience. Both stations will still offer the same music, the same DJs, and the same shows their listeners love. Oldies 103.1 will also be sporting a new name, as they adopt the more contemporary name Magic 98.5.

“The switch creates tremendous growth potential for each station,” said Bill McElveen, general manager of Citadel Broadcasting. “The station formats will not change. We’ve simply traded places on the dial.”

Magic 98.5 offers the best hits of the 60s and 70s and Kiss 103.1 plays Classic Soul and R&B. The stations can also be heard streaming online at www.WOMG.com and www.Kiss-1031.com.
