Women After Five 14th Annual Silent Auction & Reception Benefiting Sistercare of theMidlands
Sistercare provides services for battered women and their children, and promotes prevention of domestic violence through community training and advocacy.
Their services include:

A crisis line, staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by a counselor who is available to talk with victims/survivors of domestic violence.

Emergency Shelter, which is available for battered women and their children. Their shelter program includes individual and group counseling for women and children and legal advocacy.

Community services, i.e., support groups for women, counseling for children, legal advocacy, individual counseling, hospital response and shelter follow-up.

Community Education and training on the issues of domestic violence are offered to the community.
