It was normal home baseball opener at Ed Prescott Field.
Laurens JV and varsity teams won with ease over Emerald, and superintendent Dr. Ameca Thomas threw out the first pitch.
The number of the late Charles Peterson, 23, was retired in ceremonies before the game.
