Prisma Health Laurens County Hosts Chamber Business After Hours
September 19, 2022Last Thursday the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce partnered with Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital to host a Business after Hours for community members in the Ferguson Meditation Garden on hospital grounds.
Many local leaders of the healthcare community, board members, and elected officials were among attendees to this event. Hospital CEO, Justin Benfield and Hospital Physician Executive, Amber Laney, welcomed the those attending and shared some of the many accomplishments of the Prisma Health Laurens County healthcare community over the last few years.
“We continue our Relentless Pursuit of Excellence,” said Benfield. “I couldn’t be prouder of our team.”
“We have been working diligently to unite our medical staff, nursing staff, and essential services towards our collective purpose to Inspire Health. Serve with Compassion. Be the Difference,” said Laney.

- Some quality scores now exceeding top-decile performance in the nation

- Stroke Silver Plus w/ Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll
- Baby Friendly Designation from the World Health Organization
- Blue Distinction Plus rating for Maternity Care from Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Best Maternity Hospital designation from Newsweek and Leapfrog

- Center of Distinction Award – Update Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center -11 years running
Access:
- Added Full-time adult cardiology, implanting permanent pacemakers locally
- Expanding our primary care sports medicine and non-surgical orthopedic program to full-time
- Expanding tele-health services including plan to implement 24/7, 365 critical care service
