Exciting Changes Ahead for Southern Twist and Trade
July 24, 2024The store’s current owner, Christie Finley, has decided to sell, but loyal customers need not worry. Emily Abercrombie, who has been with the store for over four years, will take over as the new owner. Familiar faces, including the same staff and Christie Finley, will remain a part of the team, ensuring continuity for shoppers.
Emily’s long tenure with the store makes her the perfect successor, and she brings fresh ideas and enthusiasm to her new role. “I am thrilled to take on this new chapter at Southern Twist and Trade,” Emily said. “Our customers mean the world to us, and I am committed to maintaining the same great service and atmosphere they have come to love, while also introducing exciting new offerings.”
To accommodate these exciting updates, Southern Twist and Trade will be closed for a brief period next week. From July 29 to 31, the store will undergo a facelift, with plans to reopen on August 1.
In the meantime, customers are encouraged to visit this week for all their back-to-school shopping needs. Stay tuned for fun events planned to kick off Tax-Free Weekend and the new chapter at Southern Twist and Trade, which will be announced later this week.
Shoppers will remember that Southern Trade Outfitters and Southern Twist combined in August 2022, creating a larger and more comprehensive shopping experience on the Square in Laurens. The relocation to 109 W. Public Square increased the store’s footprint by approximately 1,500 square feet, allowing for an expanded range of product lines.
Southern Twist & Trade has been a staple on the Square for 5 years. Now, under Emily’s ownership, the store will continue to carry its current lines and more, ensuring the store remains a beloved destination for the community.
Exciting times are ahead for Southern Twist and Trade, and the team looks forward to welcoming customers to experience the new and improved store.
