Laurens County Museum to Host Prestigious Revolutionary War Round Table
July 21, 2025The Laurens County Museum will welcome Revolutionary War enthusiasts and history lovers alike for a special event later this month. On Saturday, July 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Museum will host The Southern Campaigns of the American Revolution Round Table, a full day of presentations and discussions led by leading Revolutionary War authors and lecturers.
This engaging program will take place at 116 South Public Square in Laurens and promises to be a must-attend event for anyone interested in the rich Revolutionary War history of South Carolina and the Southern Campaigns in particular. Whether you’re a seasoned historian, a devoted Revolutionary War buff, or someone simply looking to learn more about the area’s pivotal role in the fight for American independence, this event offers something for everyone.
For those new to the topic, the round table provides an excellent opportunity to become immersed in the stories, strategies, and significance of the Revolutionary War’s Southern Theater—especially as it relates to Laurens County’s own history.
Suggested donations are $20.00 per person, which includes a catered chicken salad croissant box lunch. Organizers ask that attendees RSVP by July 23 to help plan for lunches and accommodate any dietary restrictions. If you’ve already responded, you are on the list.

Attendees will also enjoy viewing the featured illustration, “William Washington’s Charge at Hammond’s Old Store” by artist Jorge Perez-Rubio, commemorating one of Laurens County’s most significant Revolutionary War battles.
