American Legion Post 25 to Carry Nation of Patriots Tour Flag on July 3–4
June 8, 2026A powerful symbol of unity and patriotism will arrive in Laurens County this summer as American Legion Post 25 participates in the nationwide Patriot Tour™ organized by the Nation of Patriots.
Members of Post 25 have been asked to take part in the cross-country relay of a single American flag that will travel through all 50 states, carried by American Legion and VFW Riders. The tour honors military service members, veterans, and their families while raising awareness and support for those who have sacrificed for the nation.
According to organizers, the flag will be handed to Post 25 on July 3. Riders will then transport it to American Legion Post 26 in Aiken, South Carolina, on July 4, where it will be formally passed along to a post in Georgia as the relay continues.
“Our American Legion post was asked to participate in the Patriot Tour. A U.S. flag will be going through all 50 states, carried by American Legion and VFW Riders. The flag will be handed over to our post on July 3, then we will deliver it to the American Legion Post in Aiken, South Carolina, to hand off to a post in Georgia. On July 4, we will deliver it to Aiken,” a representative said.
About the Patriot Tour™
The Patriot Tour™ consists of one American flag being carried through all 50 states, escorted by tens of thousands of participants for 115 consecutive days, all in honor of America’s Armed Forces members. The tour serves as a vehicle to unite Americans beneath the colors of the nation’s flag and behind the men and women who stand ready to defend it. Organizers emphasize that everyone is welcome to participate by attending a nearby stop and joining the escort.
The annual event spans several months, with riders traveling thousands of miles to ensure the flag completes its journey across the country. At the conclusion of the tour, the flag is retired in a ceremonial tribute, and funds raised throughout the journey are used to support veterans and their families.
Community members may have opportunities to see the riders as they travel during the Independence Day holiday and are encouraged to show their support along the route.

Post 25’s participation highlights Laurens County’s long tradition of honoring military service and celebrating Independence Day with pride and gratitude.
