Clinton High School’s Matthew King Shines at SCACA North/South Tennis All-Star Classic

Clinton High School boys tennis standout Matthew King helped lead the North Team to victory at the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association North/South Tennis All-Star Classic, held Saturday at Myrtle Beach High School.
King turned in a strong all-around performance, winning both his doubles match and his singles match. In singles play, King dropped the first set 2-6 before battling back to win the second set 6-2 and claim a third-set tiebreaker to secure the win.
The North/South All-Star Classic brings together some of the top tennis players in the state, and selection to the event is considered a prestigious honor among South Carolina high school athletes.
King’s performance on the court was a reflection of the character and competitive drive he has demonstrated throughout his career at Clinton High School. His selection to represent CHS at the all-star level speaks to both his talent and his standing among the state’s elite players.
