The Barbara Stone Foundation awards Community Innovations Grants to six non-profit organizations
June 8, 2026The Barbara Stone Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on supporting visionary and creative programs and initiatives for individuals with disabilities, recently awarded six Community Innovations Grants to Upstate non-profits. The Foundation prioritizes investing in and creating innovative programs that directly support individuals with disabilities.
The following six non-profit organizations were presented with Spring grants totaling $25,000:
- Adaptive Pickleball, $2,250
- Mary Sunshine House, $3,000
- Dance Collaborative, $2,250
- Aqua Angels, $5,000
- David’s Table, $5,000
- The YMCA of Greenville RECESS Program, $7,500
“Our Community Innovations Grants remain a fundamental aspect of our foundation’s mission and values,” said Lara Ceisel, Executive Director of the Barbara Stone Foundation. “It is both an honor and a privilege to support the work of wonderful organizations whose initiatives resonate with our dedication to fostering inclusion, ensuring accessibility, and creating a significant impact.”
The 2026 Barbara Stone Foundation board members include Nick Skenteris, President, Audra Vellucci, Vice President, Riku Oinonen, Treasurer, Lori Bostic, Secretary, Lee Sowell, Matthew Collins, Elizabeth Piper, Lisa Finch, Dana Gantt Moore, Erica James, Andy Lecture, Lauren Hunt, Marion Elliott, Board Member Emeritus and the Honorable Nick Theodore, President Emeritus.
