Clinton to Host Juneteenth Celebration
June 10, 2026The City of Clinton will mark Juneteenth with a free community celebration Thursday, June 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the East Main Street parking lot at 122 E. Main St.
The event, titled “A Celebration of Freedom,” will feature live music, soul food, barbecue, desserts, and food trucks. The Band Levelz with David E will headline the evening’s entertainment.
Juneteenth, observed annually on June 19, commemorates the date in 1865 when enslaved people in Texas received word of their emancipation, more than two months after the end of the Civil War. The holiday was designated a federal holiday in 2021.
Organizers are inviting the community to come together for an evening of music, food, culture, and connection in the heart of downtown Clinton.
The event is free and open to the public.
