Senior Resources announces Joe’s Wish as $25,000 Nutrition Partner

June 15, 2026

Senior Resources recognized Joe’s Wish for its generous $25,000 investment as a Nutrition Partner, helping ensure that older adults throughout Richland County have access to nutritious meals and critical support services. Joe’s Wish, a 501(c)(3) started by Blanchard Machinery in honor of the late Joe Blanchard, continues to support initiatives that strengthen communities and improve quality of life for those in need.

This partnership will have a meaningful impact on the lives of local seniors by helping provide approximately 2,600 meals to homebound older adults, supporting multiple meal delivery routes, and assisting with rising food and transportation expenses. As the demand for senior nutrition services continues to grow, community partnerships like this are essential to helping older adults remain healthy, independent, and connected.

“We are incredibly grateful to Joe’s Wish for their commitment to supporting older adults in our community,” said Andrew Boozer, Executive Director, Senior Resources. “Their generosity helps us meet the increasing need for nutritious meals while ensuring we can continue reaching seniors who rely on these services every day.”

Senior Resources’ Meals on Wheels program provides more than just meals. For many recipients, meal delivery serves as an important wellness check and connection to the community, helping combat isolation and improve quality of life.

“We’re honored to partner with Senior Resources to help address food insecurity among some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors. Together, we’re making a meaningful investment in a high-need population and strengthening the support systems that help our community thrive,” said Katherine Blanchard Whittle, Director of Joe’s Wish.

Senior Resources extends its sincere appreciation to Joe’s Wish for helping nourish seniors and strengthen our community.
