A Conversation with Jim Clyburn, The South Carolina Business Council

July 30, 2019

The South Carolina Business Council (SCBC) is a private, not for profit entity comprised of Washington, DC area leaders in government and commerce with South Carolina ties. The purpose of the SCBC is to provide an educational forum for the free exchange of ideas regarding South Carolina, the welfare of its citizens, its government, the Federal Government, as well as business opportunities.

When Congress is in session the Council meets once a month for breakfast. In order to present SCBC members with a collegial and nonpartisan atmosphere in which they can best serve the public and business interests of South Carolina, lobbying and fundraising activities are strictly prohibited.

The 10th anniversary of the South Carolina Business Council was celebrated in Washington on July 9th.
