Rainwalk is a Columbia-based startup that provides pet health insurance. Their online platform offers easy and quick claims processing, covers most veterinary bills, and provides end-to-end pet insurance support online.
In December 2021, Rainwalk became a South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) Member company. All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA’s Resource Partner Network, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the potential to be considered for an investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate, SC Launch, Inc.
In March 2022, Rainwalk received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant from SCRA.
Rainwalk was founded because the Founders felt that pet insurance policies needed to be more accessible, provide better coverage, and offer more value to pet parents, especially during an emergency. Rainwalk policies provide broad coverage for common accidents or illnesses your pet may experience.
Annual vet visits with preventative vaccinations are pivotal to a pet’s long-term health, which is why Rainwalk now provides reimbursements for vaccinations up to $100. For policies with the vaccine power up, covered vaccinations include rabies, lepto, bordetella, FeLV, FVRCP and others.
Their online platform offers easy and quick claims processing, covers up to 90% of the veterinary bills, and provides end-to-end pet insurance support online.
