Joe Ewing, a name synonymous with Antiques on the Square, was more than just a connoisseur of valuable objects. He brought his antique store to Laurens in 2019 from Tryon, North Carolina, with his business partner Nancy Roth of Nancy Roth Antiques. Ewing was a long time pillar in the antique community, specializing in sterling silver. His passion was restoration of historic homes. He restored the Todd-Irby-Henderson House on Todd Avenue in Laurens.
The inclusion of the Laurens County Museum and the Laurens County Humane Society in his will reflects Ewing’s values and his desire to leave a lasting legacy.
