A Conversation with Jo Pauling-Jones, Executive Director, Healthy Learners

It is the 25th anniversary of Healthy Learners.

Healthy Learners was formed in 1992 to address health-related barriers to learning. Too many children in South Carolina were falling through the cracks of the health care system and going without needed medical services. It started in five Columbia elementary schools, but now, Healthy Learners serves 149 schools statewide.  They have provided vision, dental, medication and other health-related services to over 12,000 students.

On October 25, 2017, the 18th Annual Healthy Learners Champions for Children Golf Tournament in Memory of George Younginer will take place at the Fort Jackson Golf Club in Columbia, South Carolina. The event is a fundraiser to support the mission of Healthy Learners.
