South Carolina Ballet, formerly the Columbia City Ballet, is proud to announce the premiere of “Elvis Ballet,” a sensational fusion of dance and music, paying tribute to the legendary Elvis Presley. This spectacular multimedia production will captivate audiences with its dynamic choreography, stunning visuals, and the timeless hits of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. The ballet will feature seamless transitions between ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance styles, and successfully blend the grace and elegance of classical ballet with the energy and charisma of Presley’s music.

The Drifters have stood the test of time and made a profound impact on the Rock & Roll genre since their inception in the early 1950s. With a multitude of notable musicians and singers, this new group of members carries the tradition of the historic, ongoing story that has covered the entire spectrum of rock and roll. The Drifters were responsible for many firsts including being the first to use string instruments in rhythm and blues, the first group to sell two million records, and the first African American vocal group to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Coming together for a historic reunion as The Drifters, the group returns to its roots with a host of timeless hits like Up on the Roof, Under the Boardwalk, There Goes My Baby, Stand by Me, and more. A Tribute to Patsy, Loretta, and Dolly

Trailblazing Women of Country will pay tribute to revolutionaries of country music, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton. With their unprecedented success Patsy, Loretta, and Dolly wove threads of contemporary womanhood throughout the tapestry of country music. Each of them harnessed country music’s rich storytelling tradition to offer their uniquely empowered—and unmistakably female—perspective.

Trailblazing Women of Country will feature Miko Marks, CMT’s 2022 “Next Woman of Country,” and Nashville-based singer Kristina Train. Together, they will bring their own unique sounds, raw authenticity, and feminine perspective, perpetuating a legacy of musical excellence and glamour left by the women that blazed the trail before them.
