A Very Merry Oyster Roast Nov. 14: Shucking for a Cause
October 20, 2026The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission’s (CCPRC) nonprofit partner, the Charleston County Parks Foundation, will host a special evening oyster roast fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 14! Held from 5:30 – 8 p.m., A Very Merry Oyster Roast will take place during the Holiday Festival of Lights at James Island County Park.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Charleston County Parks Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to create opportunities for everyone to access, enjoy, and experience the county parks, while helping preserve and protect those treasured natural spaces for generations to come.
Tickets to A Very Merry Oyster Roast are $65 per person, which includes oysters, additional food options including hot dogs and chili, beer, wine, tea, lemonade and admission to the Holiday Festival of Lights. The oyster roast event will take place at the park’s Wando Shelter. After the event, guests are invited to enjoy the Holiday Festival of Lights and all its attractions.
