AAF of The Midlands Announces District ADDY Award Winners

COLUMBIA, SC – April 10, 2008 – AAF of The Midlands is proud to announce that nine local winning entries from the local ADDY competition have received awards at the Third District ADDY Awards competition. The ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, recognizing creative excellence and the best advertising worldwide.

Entries that won Gold ADDY Awards at the local competition in February were automatically forwarded to compete in the district-level ADDY competition; Silver ADDY winners were also able to submit their winning entry in the Third District ADDY competition, which was judged in Roanoke Virginia. This year, 435 professional and 67 Student entries were submitted for the Third District competition. Of those, 41 Gold ADDY Awards, 65 Silver ADDY Awards, 18 Student Gold ADDY Awards and 9 Student Silver ADDY Awards were presented. As the third and final level of competition, work honored at the District level automatically proceeds to the National ADDY Award competition. National ADDY Award winners will be announced at the organization’s national conference to be held June 8-10 in Atlanta, GA.
