AC Hotel Greenville Downtown hosted a special reception for the Peace family and presented the original Roger Craft Peace Plaza historic marker

AC Hotel Greenville Downtown hosted a special reception for the Peace family to show them the new Press Room, a cocktail bar located in the hotel and inspired by The Greenville News. During the event, Auro Hotels’ J.P. Rama, H.P. Rama and John Deck presented the family with the original Roger Craft Peace Plaza historic marker that once resided at the corner of Broad and Main where the hotel now stands. The marker was a gift to the Peace family from former Greenville News Managing Editor William Fox, who preserved the plaque during the newspaper’s move to its new office on Broad Street. The Press Room will proudly display the marker as a tribute to the Peace family and their extraordinary contributions to the city.

The newly opened Press Room is a modern speakeasy-style cocktail bar that pays homage to The Greenville News. Exclusive and by reservation only, guests will receive and use a password to enter the intimate cocktail bar that features a menu of handcrafted cocktails, superior wines and ports, and light fare that nod to the historic location. The Press Room is located at 315 S. Main Street. For reservations, visit https://pressroomgvl.com/
