Accelerate Applications are Open

November 1, 2021

The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) is now accepting applications for the Accelerate program. Online applications are available at http://www.scgssm.org/virtual/accelerate.

Accelerate is a virtual program designed to develop South Carolina’s next generation of great engineers. Partnering with school districts across the state, it offers 10th-12th-graders an advanced set of science, engineering, math, and English courses. Students remain at their home high schools and take Accelerate courses live via video conferencing in addition to their regular coursework.

Accelerate offers students exclusive bonus experiences, including:

  • Day trips
  • On-campus labs
  • Summer research experiences
  • An annual, week-long residential camp on GSSM’s campus
  • Much more!

Almost all Accelerate courses are dual-enrolled with a local college. There are no tuition or enrollment fees for Accelerate.

Experience GSSM’s supportive faculty and rigorous coursework from your home high school. Learn more about Accelerate today: https://www.scgssm.org/virtual/accelerate

Applications are also open for GSSM’s residential and STEM Foundations programs. Both have a free application process and no tuition.

The priority application deadline for all programs is February 15.
