Adjunct faculty event connects applicants with opportunities

Greenville Technical College will hold a virtual adjunct faculty networking and hiring event on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at 5:30 p.m.

The event is designed to connect qualified adjunct applicants with department representatives In order to attend, qualified applicants must apply online for each teaching discipline of interest prior to the April 22 registration deadline to receive a unique link to the virtual event. Adjunct faculty are now being recruited for the following disciplines:

Automotive Technology
Building Construction
College Skills
Cosmetology
CPT Systems Administration
Cybersecurity
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology
Humanities/Spanish
Humanities/Philosophy
HVAC
Industrial Electricity Technology
Medical Assisting
Paralegal Studies
Transitional/Developmental Studies: English
Transitional/Developmental Studies: Mathematics
Transitional/Developmental Studies: Reading
Vocational: Ophthalmic Medical Assistant
Vocational: SME’s Skilled Trades and Technical Training

Adjunct instructors teach on a part-time basis, averaging 10-20 hours per week depending upon instruction and grading time and helping students outside of the classroom. Positions may include days, evenings, weekends, and online classes at all of the college’s campus locations.

Industry professionals, recent retirees, and individuals such as stay-at-home caretakers, who are looking for part-time work with a flexible schedule, are encouraged to apply,” said Shannon Griffin, talent acquisition manager at Greenville Technical College.
