ALALA Cancer Society Receives Check from Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, Inc

December 11, 2008

COLUMBIA, SC – December 2, 2008 – The Alala Cancer Society received a generous contribution of $1,658.35 from Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, Inc. raised by their students and staffs from all five locations in South Carolina. The money was collected from all of the Kenneth Shuler Schools as a culmination of various fundraisers held at each school.

The Kenneth Schuler School St. Andrews Rd., location collected the most money turning in $711.08. Money was raised by students paying to be able to participate in dress down days in which they were allowed to wear jeans on specified days, selling pink breast cancer bracelets and by hosting bake sales.

The other Kenneth Schuler School locations that participated are Garners Ferry Road, Spartanburg School and North August School. This is the first time for these locations to join in the fundraising.

We look forward to another successful joint campaign next year during October and Breast Cancer Awareness month.
