All Clear: Security Threat Resolved After Suspicious Packages Prompt Evacuation at Simpsonville Municipal Complex

Local authorities have given the all-clear following a major security scare that forced the evacuation and temporary closure of the Simpsonville Municipal Complex on Wednesday morning.

According to an immediate release from the Simpsonville Police Department, the incident began Wednesday morning when suspicious packages were discovered outside the Simpsonville Municipal & South Greenville Summary Court building, located at 445 E. Curtis St.

Upon receiving the report, Simpsonville officials acted quickly to secure the facilities of the wider Municipal Complex. Members of the public and non-essential personnel were immediately evacuated from the area before authorities closed the entire complex grounds to conduct a thorough sweep.
