COLUMBIA, SC – The Alzheimer’s Association South Carolina Chapter has added a new face to its team, S. Taylor Wilson, Director of Communications and Advocacy. Ms. Wilson hails from West Columbia, SC and has spent the last ten years working with non-profits around the Midlands including the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and Pawmetto Lifeline.

A 2007 graduate of the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business, Ms. Wilson plans to use her expertise and experience in marketing and communications to further the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association, along with learning and growing through the public policy work the organization participates in at the state and national level.

“I am looking forward to using what I have learned from my previous non-profit experience to continue my work as a servant leader to this community and statewide. I am thrilled to be a part of an organization with such a strong, life-changing mission,” she said.

81,000 South Carolinians are currently living with Alzheimer’s disease, the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. At 9:00am on Saturday, October 24th, Ms. Wilson will be joining advocates, caregivers, and those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease at Finlay Park for the Annual Columbia Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
