American Airlines resumes nonstop service between Charleston and New York’s LaGuardia Airport
February 20, 2025American Airlines announced the return of nonstop service between Charleston International Airport (CHS) and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA), beginning June 6, 2025. The twice-weekly flights will provide travelers with a convenient, direct connection between the historic charm of Charleston and the vibrant energy of New York City.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the return of American Airlines’ nonstop service, providing Charleston area travelers with another convenient option to access the nation’s largest market,” said Elliott Summey, CEO and Executive Director of the Charleston International Airport. Summey continued, “Charleston International Airport’s growth over the past five years has consistently ranked us among the fastest-growing airports in the United States. American Airlines has played a pivotal role in that progress. This service means more flights and larger aircraft, delivering greater convenience for our customers and enhancing the region’s connectivity.”
