Ameris Bancorp Acquires 18 Banking Locations In Florida And Georgia

COLUMBIA & GREENVILLE, SC – Ameris Bancorp, the parent company of Ameris Bank, announces that the acquisition of 18 Bank of America banking centers throughout southern Georgia and northern Florida has been completed.

The Bank of America locations acquired include branches in Albany (three locations), Dublin, Fitzgerald, Hinesville, Moultrie, Thomasville, Tifton and Waycross, Georgia, as well as banking centers in Blountstown, Cross City, Defuniak Springs, High Springs, Jasper, Lake City (two locations) and Live Oak, Florida.

This acquisition increases Ameris Bank’s total assets to approximately $5.4 billion. Ameris Bank now has 104 full service banking locations, in addition to 8 mortgage only locations throughout its Southeastern footprint.
