An Icon of Fashion in Clinton Will Continue Under New Ownership

May 14, 2022

Tapestry boutique clothing store in Clinton has been keeping the ladies of Laurens County in fine fashion for almost 36 years.

Having stood the test of time, surviving, and thriving through challenging times, Tapestry is poised to keep customers in the finest and latest styles for many more years with the announcement that store manager, Megan Cauble Knight will become the new owner.

“It’s been an incredible journey,” said founder Leslie Anne Cooper Jackson.  “I have lived out my dream of creating a fashion boutique in Clinton and I’m thrilled to know that the store will continue for many years to come with Megan as the new owner.”

Knight has worked at Tapestry since 2011 but has been the store manager since 2015 when Jackson asked her to come manage the store for one year. The rest they say is history.

So, what’s next at Tapestry?

Except for the change in ownership effective June 1st, customers will not see any noticeable difference. Jackson says she is not going anywhere and will continue to support Megan and the store.

Knight and her husband, Michael, are excited about the future as business owners.  “I’m so excited to become the owner of Tapestry,” said Knight.  Michael and I look forward to this new venture and I know he will embrace his role as handyman and fixer at the store,”

To mark the change in ownership, Tapestry will be holding a celebration like no other (and they are known for fun times) on Thursday, May 19th from 4-7 pm.  Stop by the store to enjoy refreshments, giveaways, shop some sale items and have some champagne.
