AnMed Health honored 2019 Extraordinary Women in Health

AnMed Health honored 20 extraordinary women who display passion, energy, and commitment to health care. The women were recently recognized as AnMed Health’s 2019 Extraordinary Women in Healthcare at a reception.
The 2019 Extraordinary Women in Healthcare nominees included Marilyn Ashley, Sonya Bracone, Samantha Carter, Sharah Crocker, Donna Dodson, Jessica Draisen, Annette Drake-Harbin, Tara Evans, Suzanna Grant, Denise Hamby, Linda Jones, Susanna Merriman, Christine Pearson, Kelli Potter, Julie Pruitt, Mary Ronoke, Dr. Caroline Sanders, Ashley Schipper, Jerita Sherard, and Frances Sloan.
Three of the women took home top awards. Kelli Potter received the Gladys Grantland Extraordinary Woman in Clinical Excellence Award. Julie Pruitt received the Mildred Jones Extraordinary Woman in Health Care Leadership Award, and Susanna Merriman received the Virginia Gilmer Extraordinary Woman in Healthcare Community Service Award.
The honorees were selected by a confidential review panel comprised of previous Extraordinary Women honorees.
