Annual Earth & Sky Photo Contest Showcases the Beauty of Laurens County
June 17, 2025The Laurens County Conservation District is once again calling on local photographers to capture the natural beauty of our surroundings in the 2025 Earth & Sky Photo Contest. Open to all Laurens County residents, the contest is free to enter and offers a top prize of $150 for 1st place, with 12 chances to win.
This annual contest celebrates the unique landscapes, skies, and outdoor moments that make Laurens County special. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just picking up a camera for fun, this is a chance to showcase your perspective and share your love for the land.
New for 2025, the contest now welcomes entries from professional photographers. All participants must indicate whether they are entering the amateur or professional division when submitting their photos.
Photo Contest Guidelines:

Eligibility: Photographers must reside in Laurens County.

Photo Requirements: All photos must be taken within Laurens County between January 1 and October 31, 2025.

Entry Limit: Each contestant may submit up to two photos.

Deadline: October 31, 2025

Release Form: If your photo includes people, a signed Photo/Media Release is required.

Usage Rights: Submitted photos become the property of the Laurens County Conservation District and may be used in future publications and promotional materials (including social media, the Laurens County Water & Sewer Commission, and the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce). Photographers will be credited accordingly.
