Apple VP, Furman alumna Kristin Huguet Quayle to speak at commencement ceremony
May 1, 2025Kristin Huguet Quayle ’99, the vice president of worldwide communications at Apple, will be the featured speaker for Furman University’s class of 2025 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Paladin Stadium.
Quayle, who grew up in Connecticut, majored in politics and international affairs and communication studies at Furman. She was elected to student government and was a member of Chi Omega, where she took on leadership roles within the organization and on the Panhellenic Council. She received an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, and worked for the global public relations firm Burson-Marsteller and Sun Microsystems before joining the public relations team at Apple in 2005.
She led corporate public relations for the iconic brand before taking her current position in January 2022. As vice president, she reports to Apple CEO Tim Cook and is responsible for Apple’s global communications strategy, leading the public relations team and employee communications. Under her leadership, Apple’s communications team helps share the company’s innovations and values with millions of customers around the world.
Quayle lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and three children.
During commencement, Quayle will receive an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree in recognition of her career accomplishments, including shaping the story of innovation for one of the world’s most recognizable and valuable brands.
