Applebee’s to open eighth restaurant in Columbia, South Carolina

COLUMBIA, SC — Apple Gold Group, franchisee of Applebee’s Grill and Bar, is excited to announce that December 8th, 2015 will be the grand opening of their newest Applebee’s restaurant on Killian Road in Columbia, South Carolina. The Applebee’s team broke ground in July 2015 and is now ready to invite the community in to enjoy the new grill and bar.
With the celebration of Applebee’s 35th anniversary came exciting, fresh changes. The brand refocused its image to encompass a modern feel. The brand’s modern update not only applied to Applebee’s logo, but also to the menu and the dining space. Within the new restaurant, guests can expect to experience the enhanced Applebee’s brand with bold, fresh menu choices, specialty cocktails, a modern dining space, and local beer on tap.
“This is an exciting time as we continue to transform into America’s first choice grill and bar,” said Michael Olander, President and CEO of Apple Gold Group. “We look forward to offering the Columbia community more opportunity to taste and experience the bold, unique changes we have made to our menu and restaurants.”
Before opening to the public on December 8th, Apple Gold Group will host a weekend of pre-opening training events including friends and family, and “Very Important Neighbor” (VIN) events for both lunch & dinner. On Monday, the management team is hosting a VIP ribbon cutting ceremony and cocktail party. Proceeds from the pre-opening events will go to Harvest Hope Food Bank, which is currently looking for donations to offset the cost of South Carolina flood victims.
