Applications for LCSO Christmas for Kids Program Available Oct. 25th

October 20, 2021

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office is already receiving calls about their Christmas for Kids program.  Applications to participate in the program will be available in the front lobby of the Sheriff’s office starting Monday, October 25th during normal business hours. All instructions and next steps are listed on the application.

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has been providing Christmas for kids for 19 years. Each year around 400 children wake up to a “Merry Christmas” because of the generosity of Laurens County residents supporting this program.

“Each year, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office provides assistance to hundreds of families during the Christmas season. We have made many connections along the way and we don’t just serve these families at Christmas; we check on many of them throughout the year,” said Courtney Snow,  Christmas for Kids Coordinator. “This program is made possible by our many community partners and private donors. We accept new toys and donations all year long and we appreciate everyone who supports this great mission.”

This program is about much more than making Christmas happen, it’s about caring for those in need in our community.  Donations of new toys are collected all year long and can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s office in Laurens.
