Apply to become Richland Library’s next artist-in-residence

November 19, 2019

The search is underway for local artists who are looking for a space to create and willing to share their talents with the community. Richland Library is currently accepting applications for its next artist-in-residence in spring 2020.

We encourage artists, spanning all mediums to apply. These mediums include – but are not limited to:
traditional/fine art
performance
installation
sculpture
filmmaking
musical
mixed media

The residency runs from January 13 – May 15, 2020. It includes a studio space at our Main location (1431 Assembly Street) where the artist-in-residence hosts open office hours, answering questions and sharing their expertise with others. They also work closely with our arts librarian to offer an array of free, public programs for all ages.

For more details or to fill out an application to become the next artist-in-residence, visit richlandlibrary.com. The deadline to apply is Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Initially developed in September 2016, the concept behind Richland Library’s artist-in-residence is to connect the community with local, working artists and to provide creative and educational opportunities to local residents in a way that supports cultural and artistic exchange.
