Architecture Firms Merge to Form Watson Tate Savory Liollio

Merger creates leading boutique architecture firm in Southeast

CHARLESTON and COLUMBIA, SC – December 15, 210 – Two award-winningarchitecture firms today announced creation of one of the leadingboutique architecture firms in the Southeast: Watson Tate Savory LiollioArchitecture, resulting from the merger of Columbia-based Watson TateSavory and Charleston-based Liollio Architecture.

“We completed this merger because our principals and staffs share acommon perspective about the business and art of architecture anddesign,” said Tom Savory, a principal with the new firm. “Our firms havesimilar cultures that promote collaboration and innovation and in thisnew organization we feel even better positioned to deliver high qualitywork on behalf of our clients.”

Employees were informed of the merger Dec. 9 at meetings held at eachWatson Tate Savory Liollio office. The merged firm has offices inAsheville, Charleston, Charlotte and Columbia. Principals for the legacycompanies will hold similar positions in Watson Tate Savory Liollio.

The firm will begin operating as Watson Tate Savory Liollio immediately,but the official first date of combined operations is January 1, 2011. Aformal announcement and introductory event for employees, clients,industry leaders and media will take place in February 2011.

The company’s new website, www.wtsliollio.com, launches January 1, 2011.
