Area’s First Southern Living Showcase Home Debuts Friday

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – August 29, 2012 – The Southern Living Showcase Home by Classic, located on 7464 Catena Lane in Seville at Grande Dunes, opens to the public this Friday, August 31, 2012. Mayor John Rhodes will cut the ribbon at 10:00 a.m.

The 2012 Showcase Home represents Myrtle Beach’s first. The home will be open Monday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Home tours will run through September 23. A holiday tour is scheduled for November 2-18.

“We are excited to share our beautiful showcase home with the public in the coming weeks,” said Susan White of Classic.  “Showcasing the products of over 50 local and national trade sponsors, it represents the latest in building and design ideas.”

A $5 donation will be collected at the door and proceeds will benefit Hope House of Myrtle Beach and Coastal Animal Rescue.

Classic, a member of the Southern Living Custom Building program for over five years was among 100 builders chosen for the 19th annual builder program.

Comprised of the well-known mother/son team of Susan and Berkley White, Classic has built more than 800 homes in the Carolinas and its founders have more than 50 years of combined experience in home building.  The Southern Living Showcase Home represents their 149th custom home in the Grande Dunes community.
