Patrick Rice, Classical Guitarist

Patrick Rice is currently studying music at Furman University. He grew up in a musical family that played bluegrass music and his first musical instrument was the banjo. The finger picking style of the banjo led him to a fascination with professional finger style guitar players who could incorporate melody, bass and rhythm into their playing. He shifted his focus to the classical guitar.

“My intention as an artist is not to be a guitarist, but to be a musician.”

In late June 2020, Patrick will be releasing a bluegrass songs EP with four original songs.
