Arts & Draughts is back and better than ever
October 9, 2026
The Columbia Museum of Art announces the return of Arts & Draughts, the museum’s biannual block party, on Friday, October 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This signature CMA event is a great opportunity to connect with friends and community creatives while exploring the museum. The upcoming Arts & Draughts features popular exhibition Body Matters and a stacked lineup of musical performances, live tattoo and screenprinting demonstrations, community partners, art activities, and art experiences from the booming Columbia cultural scene and beyond.
Attendees are encouraged to:
- Enjoy music sets from Nordista Freeze, DemBoyzGood, Sean Thompson (performing his GORILLA album in full), Tam the Viibe, and DJ Airborne Audio, plus WUSC DJs playing tunes from around the world all night.
- Take a unique perspective tour of featured exhibition Body Matters.
- Go on a scavenger hunt through the CMA Collection.
- Take part in live figure drawing with models whose looks are inspired by Body Matters.
- Weave a basket using upcycled craft materials.

- Throughout the night, admire the skillful art of tattooing during live demonstrations on sheepskin by Ophidian artist Chelsea Owen.
- Check out live screenprinting from Bluetile Print Studio of the official Arts & Draughts t-shirt designed by Owen.
