Assemble to Serve Humanity & Friends to host inaugural “Potluck of Hope” in Georgetown

Assemble to Serve Humanity (ASH), in partnership with Rich Eatz and the Gullah Goodz Cultural Heritage Foundation, will host its Inaugural Potluck of Hope on Saturday, November 28, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 1810 State Street (Merriman Road), Georgetown, SC 29440.
The Potluck of Hope is a community gathering created to bring neighbors together over a shared meal while extending fellowship, encouragement, and support to individuals and families experiencing hardship.
The event is free and open to the community. Meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Guests and community supporters are also encouraged to donate hygiene products. Donations collected during the event will benefit ASH’s 5th Annual We Care Package Distribution, scheduled for December 18, 2026.
“Potluck of Hope is about bringing people together and reminding our neighbors that community and compassion still matter,” said Ashley L. Reed, MSW, Founder and CEO of ASH. “Whether someone comes to enjoy a meal, fellowship with others, volunteer, or donate, we want this gathering to be a place where everyone feels welcome.”
