Atlantic Starr, The Dazz Band, Confunkshun & more to perform at City’s Summer Concert Series

National recording artists Atlantic Starr, The Dazz Band and Confunkshun are set to heat up the Finlay Park stage at the City of Columbia’s live outdoor concert series, the Columbia Parks & Recreation Department announced.

The free Summer Concert Series will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on the following dates:

• June 2– Atlantic Starr (R&B)
• June 16 – Second Nature (Beach)
• June 30 – Elliott & The Untouchables (Blues)
• July 14– The Dazz Band (R&B/Funk)
• July 28– Confunkshun (R&B/Funk)

This year, the Parks & Recreation Department will bring back Karoke Idol. Guests can register to sing beginning at 6 p.m. on the day of the concert. Participants must be age 18 or older. Prizes will be given to the weekly winner.

All concerts will be held in Finlay Park, 930 Laurel St., and are free and open to the public.

Attendees are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs. No pets, glass or alcoholic beverages allowed. Food vendors will be available.
