Attorneys form Elmore Goldsmith, PA Highlight emphasis in Construction Industry

GREENVILLE, SC – June 3, 2011 – L. Franklin Elmore, Mason A. Goldsmith, Jr., Kimila L. Wooten, Leslie D. Sullivan, and Bryan P. Kelley are pleased to announce the formation of Elmore Goldsmith Attorneys at Law.  The Greenville based practice focuses in the areas of construction law, surety law, and complex litigation throughout the Southeast. 

The members of Elmore Goldsmith have been recognized by both peers and industry for their experience resolving construction related disputes while providing prompt and efficient service.  

Elmore Goldsmith was established to serve construction industry clients – which include contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, and sureties – through enduring relationships that help businesses in the construction industry prosper.

As a certified arbitrator and mediator on construction disputes, Frank Elmore has served as a moderator, lecturer, and author on construction and surety industry topics for a multitude of professional organizations including the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry, Carolinas Associated General Contractors (AGC), the National Bond Claims Association, and the South Carolina Bar Association.  Mr. Elmore has been recognized for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America as well as South Carolina Super Lawyers and is one of less than 200 Fellow’s of the American College of Construction Lawyers.  

Drawing on experience with construction and surety claims and disputes, Andy Goldsmith, Jr. works across the Southeast on projects involving industrial plants, commercial and mixed-use developments, schools, roads and highways, and utilities. He has authored numerous books and articles related to construction law, previously served as Chairman of the SC Bar Association’s Construction Law Section, and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America. 

Kim L. Wooten’s experience as a litigator for 24 years includes a variety of construction, surety and business litigation matters. Ms. Wooten has conducted arbitrations and both jury and non-jury trials in South Carolina and across the country.                                                                                       

Leslie D. Sullivan majored in Building Science & Management at Clemson University, obtaining qualifications for unlimited general contractor’s licenses in both South and North Carolina. She is a licensed architect and brings over 13 years of proven experience as a construction professional and accomplished lawyer. 

Prior to joining the team at Elmore Goldsmith, Bryan P. Kelly served as a former assistant solicitor with the 7th Circuit Solicitor’s office – after graduating from Wofford College and the University of South Carolina, School of Law.

Collectively, the firm’s lawyers are contributing editors to The South Carolina Construction Law Update published annually by the Construction Law Section of the South Carolina Bar Association.
