Auditions Announced for Shrek the Musical in Clinton

Local performers invited to bring this fairy tale to life

Get ready to head into the swamp! Auditions are now open for Shrek the Musical, a high-energy production filled with beloved characters, catchy songs, and plenty of laughs. Directed by Kris McHone, the show promises “big characters, big voices, and big fun”—and local talent is invited to be a part of the magic.

Open to performers ages 10 and up, auditions will be held at Clinton High School on two dates:

• Sunday, July 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM

• Monday, July 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Video submissions are also welcome for those unable to attend in person.

Organizers are seeking individuals with strong singing, acting, and dancing abilities to help bring the colorful world of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and the rest of the fairy tale crew to life. Rehearsals will begin the week of July 28 and take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. Performances are slated for late September.
